Really would like some advice from women that have fertility treatments?? plz help?
Hi im 21 and me and my partner have been trying for a baby for 3 yrs we have concieved twice sadly both ended in miscarriage i have pcos and on the verge of diabetes....i was told to lose ten kilos by my gyno in 3months.....i have not lost any weight i have been on diet and excerise for over a month y arent i losing weight??? And also if i dont lose enough weight when 3 months is up will my gyno send me away with still no help until i lose the 10 kgs my and my partner are desperate to have a baby now.....could i get any other fertility treatment if i dont lose the weight?? Or do i have to lose the weight to get help at all??? Plz could u suggest anything that would help me concieve and have a healthy pregnancy so we can have the little angel we are soo desperate for now??? Most doctors think a healthy weight will help with fertility issues, but you can still get treatment even if you are overweight. My guess is your doctor is thinking because you are so young you have the time to try and get your weight under control.

Questions on Methadone. Professional advice requested.?
My cousin gets random urine screenings. She takes a RediCup brand 6-panel drug screen. This particular one tests for the following:
-Amphetamines/(AMP)
-Benzodiazepines /(BZO)
-Cocaine/(COC)
-Methamphetamine/(MAMP)
-Opiates/(OPI)
-Marijuana/(THC)
I know that methadone is a synthetic opiate, but I'm not sure if that means it will show up in a urine screen as an opiate (or OPI). Also, there is a 10-panel RediCup screen that tests for the six drugs listed above and the following:
-Barbiturates/(BAR)
-Phencylidine/(PCP)
-Antidepressants/(TCA)
-Methadone/(MTD)
My question is, if she takes the 6-panel, will the methadone she took show up as OPI, or does the screen have to be a 10-panel and display the methadone as MTD?
Also, how long does it take for methadone to leave your system?
1) The methadone will show as an opiate.
2) on the 10 panel, it will show as methadone
3) Methadone is THE longest acting opiate. The half life runs from 8 to 60 hours.

What do you think about using methadone for opiate addiction?
It works wonderfully for my herion addiction and I don't want to go off of it since I know I'd immediately start using again. So many people consider it a "heroin substitute". However, I DO NOT get high on it and it is medically controlled so when taken correctly, there is little risk of an overdose. Not to mention all the awful things that go along with heroin addiction like the risk of contaminated needles, drugs laced with deadly substances, doing illegal things to get your "fix", and the fact that you will eventually end up dead or in prison. The problem is that I still have problems with alcohol and cocaine and methadone DOESN'T help with those addictions. I want to get help for all my substance problems but almost all rehabs are VERY AGAINST Methadone. I don't want to be on Methadone the rest of my life. I will eventually wean myself off (VERY SLOWLY) so that I don't get sick (it is addictive like heroin). Any thoughts about this? Please be kind. This is rough!
I'm not really sure if you can mix it with the methadone or not but Revia (Naltrexone) can help with the cravings for both opiates and alcohol. You may want to ask the clinic where you get the methadone.
And go to an NA and AA meeting. You can find local meetings at www.aa.org and www.na.org

ERROR MESSAGES Problem with meter. Retest with a new test strip. Used test strip inserted or meter problem. Retest with a new test strip. Blood or control solution applied before R appeared on display. Retest with a new test strip. Also check batteries if this does not work. I've never been able to substitute strips on this machine. Hope this helps.

I have to make a graph for a school assignment. The information was given to me in a table with 4 columns: Patient, Treatment Type, Starting blood pressure, and ending blood pressure. I do not know what type of graph to use or how to set it up. Please help.

Dependent variable: change in blood pressure (guess, but likely true)
What you should do:
Basic
1. Sort data by treatment type.
2. Calculate change in blood pressure (Final - Initial)
3. Compute mean/standard deviation of change for each treatment type
4. Plot bar graph with standard deviation of the means/st. dev. above. (this will show you if one treatment type was better (or worse) than all the others)
More advanced, but should be done as well
5. For each treatment type, sort by starting blood pressure
6. Using X/Y graph, plot change in blood pressure vs. starting blood pressure for each treatment type (the point is to see if the change is correlated with starting blood pressure)
Even more advanced, if part 6 shows correlation:
7. For each treatment type, calculate histograms of starting blood pressures. If histograms are different then the result of part 1-4 is somewhat suspect since the groups weren't the same.

how do i know if i have a fever, i dont have a thermometer?
ive been achey and have had a headache all day. my forehead also feels very hot, it usually doesn't. ive got a sore throat and also a cough. i put a cold washcloth on my forehead to make it feel more comfortable i took it off and the washcloth was really hot. its almost 1 am and i have no way of getting a thermometer.
You have a fever. If you did not have a fever the wet cloth on your head would not get hot. Take some Tylenol for the headache and fever and go to bed. I hope you feel better tomorrow. If you don't have Tylenol, use any fever/pain reliever you have. You need to get the fever down. Put a cold cloth back on your head and if you feel like it drink some VERY cold liquids to bring your core temp down till the fever reducer kicks in then go to sleep.
