central sleep apnea and hypopnea?

I've just been diagnosed with central, obstructive and complex sleep apnea, as well as hypopnea. Does anyone have any info on these afflictions? Maybe I'm being a bit of a hypochondriac, but what I've read so far sounds kind of scary.

It can be scary if untreated. There is a respirator type mask you can be fitted wiyh to relieve the symptoms.

Is there an operation here in the uk to cure sleep apnea, and does it work .?

I haven't heard of one but I do know when my husband puts on weight he has sleep apnea and when he loses the weight the apnea goes away .

A tracheostomy (also spelt tracheotomy) is a permanent hole cut in the windpipe (trachea) about half an inch in diameter, where a tube is inserted into the opening. The size of the tube depends on your weight and physique. Women tend not to need such a large size.

I have never seen any kind of replacement strips for any type of glucose testing meter. I think you would have to stay with the ReliOn brand testing strips.

2. True, It searches down the first column to match the search criteria of the lookup function. You can have the same table used to pull more than one set of data for a single search criteria, by increasing the number for data row to pull. Make sure to put , False on the end of your VLOOKUP string, that all parameters are filled or it will give you some crazy results.

If that is the same function, it will show additional levels.

I just found out my cat has diabetes. Right now her sugar levels are twice what they should be!?

The vet has put her on a 2 week diet and if she doesn't improve them she needs insulin!

There is so much to learn when your cat because diabetic, I know, I've been there. It will seem very overwhelming at first, but believe me, it gets so much easier once you get into the routine. Diabetes is 100% treatable with no loss of life span. Your kitty might have some bad days, but so do diabetic humans.

One thing that's important is diet change. Cut out all dry food from your cat's diet, it's most likely the reason she became diabetic. Your cat could become diet-controlled, (without insulin,) but usually the cat will have to be on insulin for a while first. I feed my cat only certain brands of Fancy Feast, no gravy, no wheat gluten, and no more than 10% carbs.

I'm glad you're not thinking about putting your cat down. Some people actually do because they just don't want to deal with the disease and it's expenses, which I think is very selfish. Of course, there are cases where the cat may be severely DKA ( http://www.petplace.com/cats/diabetic-ketoacidosis-dka-in-cats/page1.aspx ) and suffering terribly, but even then a cat can usually be treated and become better. That's obviously not the case with your cat, but I would suggest you get a glucometer and start testing her at home to make sure she's not rising too much. You don't want her to develop ketones which happens if the blood sugar is too high and doesn't drop by itself. For giving shots, I tent the skin usually on his side by his stomach since I can grab more fat there. Just pull the skin up and stick the needle in the little tent that it makes. Your cat shouldn't feel anything if you do it right. Hold the needle like a pencil, not totally horizontal, as you might poke through the skin to the other side. Your vet can show you exactly how to do it.

As for how your cat's life is going to be, I can't tell you that because, like people, cats are individuals. I can tell you how my cat's life is like. He's exactly the same as he was before the disease, maybe, if anything, more affectionate. Even when I stick him with needles, or prick his ear with a lancet, he has never resented me because he knows that I love him, and I'm just trying to help him feel better.
